The verbal sounds that human beings have invented to express ideas and feelings, known as language, is but a clumsy form of communication. Very often it falls short of expressing the delicate complexities of what we TRULY mean, and thus it creates walls behind which we are imprisoned. The structure of language will never surpass the infinitely simpler, yet vastly profound communication system of feelings. To understand this as truth is to remember that someone can walk into a room and you can immediately know how he or she is feeling, without them uttering a word. We are connected by an Almighty Source that allows us to feel what others are feeling if we simply tune our radio to their frequency. Thus, I encourage you to talk less, and feel more. Crawl down from your mind and into your heart. And remember: words are something humans have created with the mind, the intelligence of which always falls short of that of the heart.
When we understand our attempts to bolster the ego by uttering increasingly complex and arduous words, we can shake its hold on us by making fun of, and making fun out of, the primitive form of communication we call language.
The Scorny Beast of Thry
What Scorny Beast of Thry!
Who scrambled hacken and bolsted try
Who throllicked long pasten and gapen sigh
He hambled and sambled and shaken wry
The shallicky mosen
Beast of Thry
O’er now gander
To bores bed and splander
What dive in and writhe in and fithe in
The tallicky grondle
Most makith a shrondle!
Of all of the wratchen
Who hatith a bondle!
Oh, the castledee griths of shry!
The Scorny Beast of Thry!
Delight in belight and forsaken shy
Gamble and die
You Scorny Beast of Thry!
